The training in remote sensing for environmental monitoring seeks to introduce state-of-the-art scientific and innovative approaches to environmental monitoring. The training will focus on key components of the physical environment, including land, air, and water. Participants will learn how to use analysis-ready data and key environmental monitoring indices to inform decisions on various aspects of the environment. The training targets students, lecturers, and professionals in health, air and water quality, vegetation, and urban monitoring. Basic knowledge of scripting in Python is required but not mandatory. An introductory course in satellite data analysis with Python will equip participants for the training.
